Marble Fountain

I began this project at the beginning of October 2013 by purchasing a solid block of marble from Arudy, France. The commission is a garden sink/fountain in the shape of a sea turtle. The remaining work to be done is to drill a hole for the bottom of the sink and build a stand out of welded steel for it to then be attached to a drain system in the greenhouse.

January 2014- the piece is complete, the hole drilled in the middle did not cause any damage like I feared, and the clients are very happy with their new fountain.

Please see last photo for the complete version with it's blue stand.

Art Projects 2015-24

Creations in 2015-24 included several commissions and many pieces created in the Brackendale Art Gallery studios. A piece for public display financed by the Whistler Museum and Archives Society and a large installation now displayed at Selkirk College were among the more exciting creations of 2016, a series of bears and deer from 2017-2019, then a focus on very large painted sculptures from 2020-2023, most lit from the interior with LED lights.

Creations 2011-24

It was with extreme pleasure that I created these artworks in the past few years. Many of them were created in the studio at the Brackendale Art Gallery in British Columbia. With the support of Thor and Dorte the owners, I was able to weld and cut my way into an artist's heaven.  Other art was created in my studio in SW France. It seems as if the pieces are getting bigger, and bigger is better as far as I am concerned! Commission a big sculpture today!

All of the sculptures that are still part of my collection in France and in Canada can be rented for a special touch at any event!
